been established by the LG PRE Stud Book for stud farms to be
updated and petitions for Ownership Cartas, as well as for
registrations of new foals, without any additional charge, will be
extended until DECEMBER 31, 2008.

A VERY
IMPORTANT update from ANCCE with regard to the situation in Spain...with
details to the status of US horses in particular. Although the USA's
PRE Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse has resigned from their
position as management of Spanish services for US Breeders including the
Spanish PRE registration for horses in the USA, CAPREH, which represents
PRE breeders in Canada, remains a separate entity and does not appear to
be affected by the Foundation's resignation. CAPREH remains in good
stead with ANCCE and will continue to serve its members with the same
dedication & diligence as always.

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CAPREH AND MYSELF, AS THE PRESIDENT OF THIS ASSOCIATION, WOULD LIKE TO RESTATE OUR PROMISE OF SERVICE TO YOU AND OUR COMMITMENT TO THE REGISTRATION AND PROMOTION OF THIS WONDERFUL BREED OF HORSES THAT WE OWN. WE HAVE BEEN FULLY COMMITTED AND COMPLETELY DILIGENT IN OUR FUNCTION AS REPRESENTATIVES OF THE BREEDERS OF CANADA TO THE NEW STUDBOOK ADMINISTRATORS, THE LG ANCCE IN SPAIN. I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT AS OF THIS DATE, ALL SERVICE APPLICATIONS WHICH WE HAVE RECEIVED HAVE BEEN DUTIFULLY PROCESSED BY CAPREH, AND ALL PERTINENT DOCUMENTS HAVE SINCE BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED STUDBOOK ADMINISTRATORS. DESPITE COUNTLESS INQUIRIES FROM OUR PART TO THE LG ANCCE DIRECTORS, WE HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ANY FEEDBACK WITH REGARD TO THE STATUS OF ANY AND ALL OF OUR APPLICATIONS SENT. AS A RESULT, WE NO LONGER FEEL CONFORTABLE WITH BOTH THE PERFORMANCE OF ANCCE IN CARRYING OUT THEIR FUNCTIONS AND THE MANNER IN WHICH WE ARE BEING TREATED. CONSEQUENTLY WE HAVE DECIDED TO TEMPORARILY SUSPEND FURTHER PROCESSING OF ALL SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS WITH THE LG ANCCE, UNTIL WE RECEIVE ADEQUATE GUARRANTY THAT THEY WILL FULFILL THEIR PROMISE OF SERVICE MADE TO US, AND TO THE REST OF THE WORLD, WHEN THEY FIRST TOOK OFFICE. WE HAVE JOINED EFFORTS WITH OTHER ASSOCIATIONS IN OTHER COUNTRIES, THAT ARE EXPERIENCING EXACTLY THE SAME DIFFICULTIES THAT WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED, IN ORDER TO SOLVE THIS SITUATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WE REGRET THE INCONVENIENCES THIS MAY BE CAUSING YOU. PLEASE BE ASSURED THAT WE ARE DOING EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO SECURE A PROMPT AND ADEQUATE SOLUTION TO THIS SITUATION. Dear Breeders, The onus is on the stallion owner to issue the "Cover Certificate' - (CERTIFICADO DE CUBRICION) to the mare owner. The Cover Certificate is also the MANDATORY FORM which the mare owner must submit once the foal is born in order to apply to INSCRIBE the foal produced out of the mare by the stallion to whom she was bred. MARES BRED IN 2007If your Revised stallion has bred a Revised mare in 2007, you must order the necessary ANCCE Cover Certificates for EACH MARE COVERED. How to order: - Fill out an ANCCE International Service Request- Write in Cover Certificates and the number of which you would like to order - List the stallion to whom the certificate applies to. If you are standing more than one stallion, list them individually. (The new ANCCE Cover Certificates will have the stallion's name pre-printed on the documents. They will no longer be blank) - Each Cover Certificate costs $6 CDN (4 euro x 1.6 conversion). Make your cheque payable to CAPREH - Send your completed ANCCE International Service Request & Payment to: Carlos Lara The same process applies to mares covered in years prior to 2007 with this important difference: If your Revised stallion covered a Revised mare in 2005 or 2006, you must order the necessary CRIA CABALLAR Cover Certificates for EACH MARE COVERED. How to order:- Fill out a CRIA CABALLAR Solicitude de Servicio - Write in Certificado de Cubricion (Cover Cerificates) and the number you would like to order - List the stallion or stallions to whom the certificate applies to. - Each Cover Certificate costs $6 CDN (4 euros x 1.6 conversion). Make your cheque payable to CAPREH - Send your completed CRIA CABALLAR Solicitude de Servicio & Payment to: Carlos Lara
